2017 Myanmar Trip

Update on the Ministry in Myanmar : February 2017

Myanmar Mission Trip Results

Many thanks for your prayers as Pastors Ike Graham, Bryan Maley, and his son, Braiden, traveled to Myanmar to follow up on last year’s teaching time and to complete a strategy for planting churches in no-Gospel, no-church areas of Myanmar (formerly Burma). All of our objectives were accomplished.

The elders of the 11 Brethren churches in Chin State joyfully submitted to trine immersion as you can see from the picture below. You’ll need to be at Conference in Laurelville to see the “joyfully” when we show the video.baptism-feb

In addition to the 20 elders who were baptized, 3 women (Sunday school teachers) also were baptized by trine immersion. Pastor Maley braved the cold waters! On Sunday morning after the message, those who had been baptized participated in three-fold communion. This was also a great joy for all of us!

When the men were asked if they plan to go back and teach the churches and baptize them, they answered, “yes.” Before we left, we completed a written plan for planting churches among the tribal groups where there is no Gospel and where there are no churches. This plan has already been submitted to the Foreign Mission Panel and they will discuss it on Tuesday afternoon, March 21st. Pray that the Lord will continue to lead us and give us clear direction concerning the planting of churches in this country where God continues to open doors. Thank you for your prayers and your gifts.
