Over the years, a number of the church planters in India have been blessed with a wife. Just a couple of years ago, it was Brother David Selvaraj. Then, Brother Joseph and Brother David Hanu were married. Recently, I leaned that Brother David Hanu and his wife are going to have a baby! There is more than one way to see the church grow!
On April 8th, Brother Peter Sipka will be getting married. Here is a picture of him and his fiancé.
Smiling for a picture is not the culturally proper thing to do. Pray for them as they begin their lives together in a state and culture not sympathetic to Christians nor the Gospel message.
Pray too for the other men whom I have mentioned and those with families who are striving to raise their children to believe in Jesus and witness to a culture which opposes them. From among the children of these believers, may the Lord raise us more church planters and pastors.
2015 India Trip
Pray also for our team as we continue to prepare to go to India on April 30th. Just last week I had my tetanus shot. You can see from the picture just how happy I was about this:
Obviously, it didn’t bother Joshua…because he didn’t have to get one! On a happier note, our schedule for the time in India has been finalized for the most part. In addition to visiting some of the churches and their outreach, we (Joshua and I) will be teaching the books of Daniel and Revelation May 5-7. We will also be visiting tribal areas to evaluate what potential church planting opportunities there are among tribal peoples in India. Some of the men who are coming to the Conference are already conducting such a ministry (as we shared last month) so we want to talk to them also. In addition, we will be working on a plan for the church planters to begin a self-support status starting in 2017.
