Trip Update #9 – Pastor Ike

Conference - small
Today (Friday), we are finishing the Conferences of the CGBCIndia churches.  Yesterday, 9 were baptized which included 3 of the youth from Agape Home.  This was a special joy because I have known these children for some years now.  One of them is the daughter of the widow in Cholapuram.  That is a history of the marvelous grace of God that we will share in the future.  Attendance at Conference has been about 92 each day which includes the children from Agape Home (about 25) and some of the children and youth from Cholapuram.  Brother Nehemiah from Odisha gave an excellent message on spiritual growth from James 1:21-27.  I preached 2 messages on integrity and showed a clip from the Courageous movie about Javier and his test of character.  It was well received and made an impact on the participants.  We have met some new men from Odisha who would like to join the CGBCI.  Pray for wisdom as we interview these men and ask for the Lord’s direction.  Joshua and Benjamin have ministered to the children and have sung in the Conference and have also shared their testimonies in the Conference.
Today, we end Conference with communion.  Then we will travel to Pondicherry to see what the Lord has been doing there.  Joshua will be preaching there.  After that, we will go on to Rajapalayam where a number of outreach opportunities await us.  There is a Plymouth Brethren church that has invited us to come and speak because they are considering joining the CGBCI.  Also, one village has consented to allowing us to come and preach the Gospel.  In addition, we will be investing some tribal church planting opportunities in the area.
Thank you for praying.
Pastor Ike Graham
