Missionary Adoniram Judson

On May 7th, 1813, exactly 200 years ago, Missionary Adoniram Judson and his wife Nancy sailed for Madras, (Chennai) India.  Once they arrived they are weren’t allowed to stay due to the East Indies Company policy, and left for Rangoon, Berma (Myanmar) on June 22, 2013.

During that voyage Nancy gave birth to their first child, which was born dead and was buried at sea in the Bay of Bengal.  Nancy was left very weak.  On July 13, 1813, they arrived in Rangoon, Berma.  Little did they know of the tribulations that lay ahead, but they were assured of the Lord’s presence, comforted by His promises, and made strong in His love.

WOW!  What perseverance they showed!!!  If you are interested in reading more about their story please click the link below.

Please pray for the 2013 Myanmar/India Team as they are investigating ministry options in Myanmar right now.
